Pars Drilling Fluids (PDF) was established in 2002 as a private drilling fluids service company. Our organization is currently registered as an ‘Industrial Knowledge-Based’ company in Iran. We are proud to announce that our laboratory is ISO/IEC 17025:2005 certified, which demonstrates our focus on quality assurance, technical capabilities, and services. Our primary intent and vision are to act as a service company to provide Total Fluids Management.
To be a service provider, PDF has adopted a service analogy in terms of emphasizing continuous R&D, setting ties with technically capable companies, connecting the industry to academic institutions, and setting benchmarks for optimizing performance. Service is the cornerstone of our organization; our clients’ challenges are our challenges, we provide viable solutions and recommendations, and we do not believe in a short-term profit strategy.
Backed by ISO/IEC 17025 certified laboratories and a dynamic R&D department, PDF offers total fluids management solutions—from engineering design and specialty chemical manufacturing to on-site operational services, waste management, and production enhancement.
We are proud to support national energy goals by integrating our services with sustainable practices. From minimizing formation damage to recycling water-based muds, we continuously innovate to reduce environmental footprint and maximize drilling efficiency.

- Established as an independent private local drilling fluids company
- Founded the first drilling fluids laboratory in the private sector in Iran
- Prepared the 1st Drilling Fluids Material Encyclopedia
- Registered in Halliburton & Baker Hughes AVL
- Supplied drilling fluids for Azar Exploration and Darquin Development Oil Fields
- Expanded our Research Department in Collaboration with Petroleum
University of Technology
- Registered as a Service Company in ENI for Darquin Development Oil Field
- Successfully Completed 4 wells for ENI in Darquin Oil Field
- Approved in Norsk Hydro Vendor List for Azar Project
- Listed in ENI's vendor list for Phases 4 & 5 (Workover Operations)
- Listed in NIDC and NIOC EXP Vendor Lists for drilling fluids services
- Successfully drilled Ahwaz Well No. 426 using the GLYCO-DRILL fluid system (replacing OBM)
- Awarded by NIOC for the GLYCO-DRILL system as the 2nd successful research project
- Established the 1st Advanced Drilling Fluids School for NIDC
- Provided materials for the Yadavaran Development Oil Field
- Delivered drilling fluids services for 27 wells in North Azadegan with CNPCI
- Developed the CLAY-BOND fluid system to prevent bit balling and enhance Rate of Penetration (ROP)
- Developed LUB-DRILL system for horizontal and highly deviated wells
- Expanded logistics base in Kish with a bulk plant and accessories
- Provided drilling fluids for SPD17B and SPD18B
- Expanded Tehran laboratory
- Grew the R&D center and registered with Khuzestan Technology Park
- Developed new base laboratories in Ahwaz and Kish
- Provided services for SPD19A and SPD19B
- Established Waste Management Services
- Recognized as the first Reference Laboratory by NACI and the Iranian Standards Organization
